This collaboration brings two forces under one roof of a studio which proved there was a need for nationalist media at the center stage in India.
India’s biggest news brand Republic has partnered with one of India’s strongest corporate brands Century Plyboards, solidifying the commitment to innovation and the idea of putting India and Indians ahead of everything else. With Republic’s devotion to ‘Nation First’ and Century’s ‘Consumer First’ approach, the announcement entails the biggest studio partnership between two entities that share the core value of solidity, innovation and being rooted to Indian-ness, Bharatiyata.
While Century Plyboards is an Industry disruptor that has brought presentation and product together with trends and everyday requirements, Republic is a disruptor in the news space and has changed the way news is approached, produced and presented, with a distinct Nationalist thrust. This collaboration brings the two forces under one roof of a studio that has proved there was a need for a nationalist media in the center stage of the world’s largest democracy – where the tall walls between the viewers and the news presenters were broken and where the people of India were brought together for our National Interest against anti-national proponents.
“The ethos of both brands is very similar. Whenever you speak to Arnab, you hear ‘We are the ones who break news first.’ At Century, we are the ones who break innovation first. So I think both brands have such beautiful synergy,” Keshav Bhajanka, Executive Director, Century Plyboards India Limited, said. “So when the opportunity came to us to integrate in a whole new manner, I think it was too good an opportunity to resist.”
“Keshav has stood like a rock behind Republic. And the reason for this, I believe and I hope, is that fact that he believes in what Republic stands for. We stand for ‘Nation First,” Republic’s Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami said.
“Century as a group is doing remarkable work in building strength of our corporate sector, providing employment to thousands of people, creating dramatic innovations in their products, exporting products across the entire world, and giving a new scale to their own business,” he further said. “I have always wanted to work with businesses that contribute to the Nation and the philosophy of ‘Nation First’. I think Century exemplifies that. I am delighted about this,” Arnab Goswami added.
The partnership coincides with the launch of Century Laminates with Manish Malhotra, about which Keshav Bhajanka said, “We wanted to innovate and change the way laminates have looked for ages. Instead of making incremental changes, we chose to unveil designs that will radically redefine the decorative space. We thought of ‘revolution’ not ‘evolution’ and who better than Mr. Manish Malhotra to turn the ‘revolution’ we had envisioned into reality. He has effortlessly extended his expertise and his customer insight – from dresses to brand labels to accessories to, eventually, furniture.”
