The Sleep Company (TSC) is leveraging AI to drive growth and profitability by FY25, with investments planned in R&D for tech-integrated products. The company shared that its recent innovation SensAI Sleep Analyzer Pillow uses AI to provide personalized sleep insights.
The Sleep Company (TSC), a comfort-tech brand, is betting big on artificial intelligence (AI) as it charts a path toward sustained growth and profitability by FY25 with plans to invest in R&D of tech-integrated products over the next few years, the company said.
Integrating AI into its products, the company has recently launched the SensAI Sleep Analyzer Pillow. Billed as the world’s first SmartGRID pillow with AI capabilities, it can help provide personalized sleep insights via a non-intrusive, radar-based sensor system, the firm shared.
Co-founder Priyanka Salot said, “We aim to create a holistic sleep ecosystem that caters not just to physical comfort but improve people’s lives. We will continue to invest in AI innovations and expand our portfolio with cutting-edge comfort-tech solutions.” Meanwhile, Harshil Salot reinforced the company’s mission to address sleep deprivation by offering tech-driven solutions tailored to diverse consumer needs, from fitness enthusiasts to senior citizens.
In FY24, TSC has reported a surge in revenue at Rs 312.33 crore as against the revenue of Rs 127.14 crore in FY23. This growth was primarily fueled by its SmartGRID mattress segment, which accounted for 65 per cent of the revenue, growing by 89 per cent to Rs 203.69 crore. The company attributes this growth to its commitment to innovation and consumer-centric strategies.
To complement this growth, TSC has expanded its offline presence, establishing 119 company-owned-company-operated (COCO) stores across 35 cities in India. “All stores have been EBIDTA profitable from the start, reflecting strong operational efficiency,” the company shared. Since launching its first store in Bengaluru in June 2022, The Sleep Company has aimed to enhance accessibility while maintaining profitability, setting an ambitious goal of crossing Rs 1,000 crore in revenue run rate within two years.
