Ebco has emerged stronger after Covid-19

1. How has Ebco adapted to the new normal?

We have handled Covid-19 and its effects well. We saw an increase in revenues of 100% compared for FY2021-22 and over and above this, we have seen another increase of 35% during the current financial year (FY2022-23) thus far. Given the unique challenges that this extraordinary period of time has brought, this is a very good all-round performance.

We attribute much of this to our basic guiding philosophies including fair pricing, supporting our customers in both good and difficult times, and continuing to believe in the promise of this country.

2. How do you see competition in the field of innovation? What aspects will you prioritize in addition to product quality and technological innovation to improve the perception of your brand?

We lead the market in many aspects, including the speed at which we develop new products based on market feedback as well as our own research and development. We have a large product development pipeline with many high potential items. Apart from quality, our priorities are to develop products that are priced fairly and are affordable to the large majority of the market, without sacrificing features and aesthetics.

3. What are your expansion plans? Are there any expansion initiatives in the pipeline?

We are always expanding our manufacturing infrastructure with new machines being added every year. Our warehousing infrastructure is also expanded regularly. We are now working to establish exports and are happy to have begun sales to the Middle East last year.

4. How do you update your ever-changing product line to meet consumer demand?

Some ideas come from product feedback from our close network of customers around the country, while other ideas come from our consistent R&D and efforts to continuously improve our products in terms of quality, features and affordability.

5. There is a huge gap between demand and supply. What strategies do you employ to address supply chain issues?

While we have seen tremendous growth in demand this year, our supplies have kept pace, delivery times have improved and thereby fueled sales growth. Product availability has been the best it has been for years. The keys to managing a supply chain are to consistently look to expand capacity where needed and to have robust forecasting systems in place.  

6. What various marketing techniques and strategies have you employed?

A number of marketing initiatives are currently underway, including TV advertisements, cricket-led branding, participation in new exhibitions taking place across the nation, and quickly opening new display centers.

7. Do you have anything you’d like to convey to our readers?
