Pepperfry Launches Fulfillment Centre in Gurugram

Solar panels, rainwater harvesting systems, and thermally insulated walls are among the energy-saving features included in the new structure.

Pepperfry, one of India’s leading e-commerce furniture and home goods retailers, has opened a new fulfilment centre in Gurgaon.

The new facility, which covers an area of around 1,11,000 square feet and has a storage capacity of approximately 30,000 goods, will aid Pepperfry’s company. The centre, which is located on the Bilaspur-Tauru Road in the NCR logistics hubs near Manesar, intends to shorten delivery times in the northern Indian market. It will also handle roughly 70% of the region’s order volume.

It’s a fulfilment centre that may be
customised to meet specific furniture storage needs. Solar panels, rainwater
harvesting systems, and thermally insulated walls are among the energy-saving
features included in the new structure. It will also provide residents in the
North Indian region with large-scale employment and skilling opportunities. The
entire transit time is expected to be decreased due to its proximity to key
demand hubs in Delhi NCR. Customers in the Delhi NCR region will be able to
take advantage of Pepperfry’s express delivery service.

“North India is a crucial market for
us,” said Ashish Shah, Pepperfry’s Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer.
We believe that our fulfilment centre will provide joy and satisfaction to our
clients as we work to attain speedier delivery schedules and distributed inventory.
This new hub is projected to reduce touchpoints and in-transit damage
dramatically. This development, we feel, reaffirms our commitment to developing
the local economy and creating jobs in the region. We will continue to provide
excellent service while maintaining strong operating leverage.”

Pepperfry has an abig-box supply chain that
intends to connect buyers and sellers in 500+ cities across the country. With
140+ studios, 30+ distribution centers, and 400+ last-mile delivery trucks the
company expects to continue driving customer delight in high involvement
