A Model for Industry Collaboration

The success of the Udaipur IEVO X FFSC COE is a testament to the power of collaboration between key industry stakeholders. This Centre brings together leading partners to create a holistic skilling ecosystem:

Iraj Evolution Design (IEVO) has provided the infrastructure to house state-of-the-art training facilities.

FFSC has played a pivotal role in curriculum development, student mobilization, securing industry placements for trained professionals, and is also responsible for running the centres, ensuring seamless operations and sustained impact.

By leveraging these partnerships, the COE is creating a pipeline of skilled talent that will address the pressing workforce shortage in the sector and boost India’s manufacturing and design capabilities.

Skilling the Workforce for the Future

The Centre of Excellence offers specialized training programs under the Design, Build, and Manage categories, ensuring that students are equipped with practical, industry-relevant skills.

Currently, students are undergoing training under the Multipurpose Draughtsperson: (Design & Build – Furniture Design) Program, where they are developing critical competencies such as:

•Converting design concepts into 2D/3D drawings to assist in production.

•Performing site surveys and measurements for precision in execution.

•Maintaining project documentation for seamless workflow.

•Specializing in interior design, furniture design, or product design, based on career aspirations.

By aligning training with real-world industry requirements, the COE is bridging the skill gap and preparing individuals for immediate employment opportunities.

A Growing Network of Skill Academies

The Udaipur IEVO X FFSC COE is part of a larger initiative by FFSC to create a nationwide network of skill academies. FFSC has already established Skill Academies in Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad, with nine more centers set to launch across India. These academies are strengthening the industry’s skilling ecosystem, ensuring that aspiring professionals have access to quality training and employment opportunities in various locations.

A Vision for Workforce Transformation

During the inauguration, Shri Jayant Chaudhary emphasized the importance of industry participation in skilling initiatives and the role of such centers in transforming India’s workforce. He applauded the joint efforts of FFSC, IEVO, Häfele, and Pytha in creating an ecosystem that nurtures skilled professionals ready to contribute to India’s economic growth.

FFSC CEO Rahul Mehta & industry leaders also highlighted how this initiative aligns with the broader mission of ‘One Nation, One Industry’ empowered by a Skilled Workforce, ensuring that skilling efforts are standardized, scalable, and impactful across India & how such collaborative efforts will bridge the supply-demand gap of skilled professionals in the Furniture, Interior & Allied sectors.
