Biesse Group Collaborates with KIET to establish the Centre for Advanced Woodworking.

‘The Centre for Advanced Woodworking’ aims at providing the necessary training and developing the required skills amongst the young professionals and budding entrepreneurs in the woodworking industry. The inauguration of the centre was done on 16th September 2021 by the Honorable Minister of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises & Export Promotion, and Government of Uttar Pradesh Shri Sidharth Nath Singh. Honorable Minister of Medical and Health, Family Welfare Maternal and Child Welfare Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh Shri Atul Garg was also present at the event as a guest of honour.

The CAW will resonate Biesse Group’s vision of ‘Think Forward’ and will re-establish the company’s belief in staying focused on the future. The first batch of 10 students started their course on the same day the CAW was inaugurated. Biesse India has ensured the most advanced woodworking machinery and software is made available at CAW and will extend support in development of professional training courses. ‘CAD/CAM in Woodworking’ course was launched during the inaugural event.   It is designed in a way that the students will get ample hands on experience on machines and software. After successful completion of the course, students will be awarded a training certificate ‘CAD/CAM in Woodworking” jointly by Biesse India, KIET Group of Institutions and Furniture and Fittings Skill Council.

Representatives from both Biesse India and KIET Group of
Institutions were present at the event. Mr. Stefano Bottene, Sales &
Marketing Director, Biesse India and Mr. Prahallada K.N., Chief Program
Officer, Biesse India represented Biesse India. 
Dr. (Col) Amik Garg, Director, KIET Group of Institutions was also
present at the event representing KIET. Also present at the event was Mr. Rahul
Mehta, CEO, Furniture and Fittings Skill Council (FFSC). The inauguration
ceremony has happened in the KIET campus in Ghaziabad. Biesse has already
established its presence in south India by collaborating with AWTC (Advanced
Woodworking Training Centre) in IWST (Institute of Wood Science &
