Hafele launches Dekton surface for outdoor applications

Its Ultra
Compacting technology mimics the metamorphic processes that real stone endures
when subjected to extreme pressure and heat.

Häfele has invented Dekton, an ultra-compact surface
producer that creates distinctive surfaces using a blend of natural minerals.
It has the ability to fit into and redefine a range of applications – flooring,
cladding, and facades for both inside and outside – because it is designed to
be the strongest and most lasting surface.

The exclusive Ultra Compacting Technology mimics and
intensifies the metamorphic processes that natural stone endures over millennia
as a result of exposure to high pressure and high temperature. This
technological advancement represents an industrial leap that results in a
revolutionary material and leading product that can withstand scratches,
stains, extreme heat and cold (due to its low coefficient of thermal expansion
and natural resistance to ice and thawing), mildew, and mould, all while
looking good.

Dekton has a better abrasion resistance than granite, making
it an appropriate surface for commercial applications and high traffic areas.
This surface is also ideal for outdoor use due to its great resilience to
ultraviolet (UV) light, which keeps it from fading or degrading over time.

Dekton surfaces
incorporate natural stone, metamorphic rocks, industrial materials, sand, dirt,
and even sea surfaces, precisely reproducing and rethinking what nature has to
give, making it every architect’s and designer’s dream solution. Courtesy:
