Sal wood is the hardest quality in timber world and it is Water Proof, Anti Fungus & Anti Borer wood used for door and windows framing. Sal wood is Heavy duty wood used for industrial use and also used in Navy & Docks for supporting the ships. It is better substitute for teak wood. No knots only sun cracks if kept in sunlight. Sal is one of the most important sources of hardwood timber in India, with hard, coarse-grained wood that is light in color when freshly cut, but becomes dark brown with exposure. The wood is resinous and durable and is sought-after for construction, although not well suited to planning and polishing. The wood is especially suitable for constructing frames for doors and windows.
